“PHILIPPINES: A DANCE VOYAGE” Featuring Adamson Dance Troupe in Concert at the Park

The Adamson University Dance Troupe, under the artistic direction of Ms. Ruth Reynaldo, brings on stage a travel-dance presentation in Concert at the Park, this Sunday, July 8, 2012, starting at 5:00 in the afternoon, at the Rizal Park Open-Air Auditorium, Manila. The Adamson University Dance Troupe is one of the cultural arms of the Adamson University in its promotion of Philippine arts and culture, under the Cultural Affairs Office, with Ms. Nenita Dimapilis as its Director, who also is the founder of the dance group. The troupe is composed of a wide variety of students, both male and female, coming from the different colleges and department of the university, united by their passion and love for the art of dancing. Through the years, the group has developed its dance repertoire of four suites of dances, namely, Maria Clara, Rural, Muslim and Tribal.

“Philippines: A Dance Voyage” is composed of the following dance suites: TRIBAL SET – The Intact Ethnic Culture; CORDILLERA GROUP – The Sound of the Mountains; MARIA CLARA COLLECTION – Sophistication, Charm, Courtesy and Confidence; THE MUSLIM TAPESTRY – The Mystic Southern Islands; and RURAL SUITE.

Concert at the Park is a regular public service project of the Department of Tourism, under Sec. Ramon Jimenez, Jr., the National Parks Development Committee (NPDC), under Executive Director Juliet H. Villegas, and the People’s Television Four, and for this Sunday, in partnership with the Adamson University.  NPDC Chief of the Cultural & Public Affairs Mr. Freddie A. Edos is the Executive In Charge of the project. Gie V. Arnold writes the script.

Admission to the Concert at the Park is free of charge. The public is cordially invited.
